Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems is seeking a Manager Engineering 2 for the DMSMS (Diminishing Manufacturing Sources and Material Shortages) team to join our diverse team of professionals. This leadership position is located onsite in San Diego, CA.
Essential Functions:
Under the direction and leadership of the Supportability Engineering team, the DMSMS Manager will work with Product Support and adjacent program functions to ensure proactive DMSMS management and services are executed in accordance with the portfolio of various Programs Statement of Work (SOW). This individual will lead internal DMSMS engineers and may include other internal/external Teammates/Suppliers to ensure Program Performance, cost/schedule and quality objectives are achieved in collaboration with the team.
This leader will manage a diverse team of DMSMS engineers and help coordinate between other teams internal and external to Product Support, internal leadership, and the customer to ensure proactive identification, management, and mitigation of obsolescence risks as defined by the SOW are achieved within budget, schedule, quality, and closure criteria.

Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science Degree in a STEM field and 9 years of experience in obsolescence management, engineering, and/or Product Support or a Master of Science Degree in a STEM field and 7 years of experience in obsolescence management, engineering, and/or Product Support.
- Ability to receive DOD Secret Clearance
- US Citizenship is a requirement for employment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience working with Contracts and/or Program Management.
- Previous experience working Supportability Engineering and/or Product Support efforts on development and/or sustainment programs.
- Previous experience coordinating aspects of program execution including planning, baselining, and implementation across multiple teams.
- Strong skills in Microsoft Office programs including Word, Excel, MS Project, and PowerPoint.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
Salary Range: $142,200 - $213,400
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidates experience, education, skills and current spanet conditions.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
