Description:This position provides technical support of Production Operations at Lockheed Martin Missiles & Fire Control in Troy, Alabama. The job duties include the design, development and implementation of manufacturing processes, detailed work instructions, special tooling/equipment and production floor support required to assemble and test a variety of military missiles. The role requires the ability to interpret engineering requirements from product data models, drawings, parts lists and specifications, conduct detailed failure analysis, develop root cause and implement the corrective/preventative actions, demonstrate effective interpersonal and communication skills including oral, listening, technical writing and visual presentations. The candidate must have a high level of mechanical hands-on skills and the ability to troubleshoot electrical problems. Process development may include assisting with training of existing Production Operations staff.

The Locale: Troy, Alabama is located in the East Gulf Coastal Plains region of southeastern Alabama. Troys climate is typical of areas along the Gulf of Mexico in that it has hot, humid summers and mild winters. Troy is a great place to live offering lots of things to do and has a small town charm. Troy is also a college town and is home to Troy University. Where can you get to from Troy? Our facility in Troy is just under an hour south of Montgomery, Alabama. Troy is about 2.5 hours north of the Gulf of Mexico and Fort Walton Beach and Floridas Pan Handle. Troy is about three hours from Atlanta, GA.
-Bachelors degree from an accredited college in engineering or a related technical discipline.
-Manufacturing experience with automation and production line processes.
-Excellent verbal/written communications and interpersonal skills with attention to detail.
-Proficient with MS Office suite.
-Must be able to work all schedules/shifts (day shift, night shift and a weekend schedule).
- Must be a U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain a DoD Secret clearance and have at least an Interim Secret clearance prior to starting.
-Experience with Aerospace or Automotive factory automation equipment, manufacturing processes and production shop floor experience.
-Ability to read and interpret GD&T from complex engineering drawings and specifications.
-Excellent hands-on mechanical assembly/disassembly skills.
-Working knowledge/experience with ordnance assembly processes.
-Familiarity with ISO9000, AS9100, ASME Y14.5 industry standards and common military specifications.
-Working knowledge with Allen-Bradley (Rockwell Automation) programmable logic controllers (PLC), FANUC robots and computer aided design (CAD) design tools are a plus
