Description:Lockheed Martin is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer Staff for a position in Grand Prairie, TX to join the Missiles and Fire Control Manufacturing Engineering team supporting the Dallas Electrical shop Printed Wiring Board (PWB) operations.
This position will initiate and lead process improvements for the PWB shop and interface with shop floor personnel, shop management, and program management to drive collaboration.

The Manufacturing Engineer Staff is responsible for supporting manufacturing processes for PWB/PCB assembly. Typical scope includes:
• Developing and maintaining work instructions and re-work/repair instructions for non-conformance processing
• Identifying risks to production and implementing mitigation plans
• Leading PWB manufacturing process line validation activities
• Driving cost reduction initiatives to completion
• Supporting testing for hardware or tooling issues
• Utilizing lean initiatives to reduce waste and drive affordability and efficiency
• Providing manufacturing feedback to create affordable and manufacturable designs
• Ability to interpret drawings, Computer-Aided Design (CAD) models, product/performance specifications, and other systems integration technical data

The successful candidate will be able to successfully perform in the role, the candidate should be able to:
• Demonstrate effective communication skills including verbal, listening, technical writing, and presentations
• Demonstrate effective interpersonal skills, including team building, collaboration, and developing enduring business relationships
• Able to liaison between subcontractors and internal functions
• Work independently and as a group with little guidance
• Work in a fast-paced and changing environment
Basic Qualifications:
• Ability to obtain an Interim Secret clearance after accepting an offer and before starting the role
• Bachelors degree in an associated discipline or equivalent combination of experience and education
• Experience manufacturing PWB/PCB assemblies
Desired Skills:
• Preferred Bachelors/Masters Degree in Technical or STEM
• Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve technical/process issues varying from basic to very complex
• Proficient in MS Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
• Familiar with IPC, J-STD, and MIL specifications in the manufacturing of electronic assemblies.
• Familiar with CAD, DFM (Design for Manufacturability), and design analysis tools and processes
• Experience with SAP production control system and Windchill
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
