OnsiteCollins Aerospace is looking to hire a Manufacturing Engineer II in Jacksonville FL who will be responsible for developing, documenting, and improving manufacturing processes for composite parts. You will be working with a cross-functional Integrated Product Team (IPT) to drive production-based results (part quality, on-time delivery, etc.) within the Propulsion Value Stream. You will represent the Collins Aerospace Jacksonville Blount Island Facility Manufacturing Engineering Team during the entire production build phase, within the Integrated Product Team (IPT).

What you will do:
- Designs and plans layout for assembly and materials handling.
- Plans and documents sequence of operations and specification procedures for the fabrication of tools and equipment and other functions that affect product performance.
- Provides guidance regarding design concepts and specification requirements to best utilize equipment and manufacturing techniques.
- Plans the sequence of operations for fabrication tools to ensure excellent product performance.
- Adapts machine and equipment designs to factory and production standards.
- Conducts detailed design work focused on the layout of assembly and materials handling operations.
- Improves production methods, driving waste from existing programs
- May assist in developing time and cost estimates.
- Work closely with Operations, EH&S, Quality, and others to create a safe, efficient work environment.
- Assume leadership responsibility for all build related issues.
- Track manufacturing related issues and ensure that owners provide timely and effective closure.
- Drive product quality improvements through process development and improvements with Level Two mistake proof implementation where possible.
Qualifications You Must Have:
- Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field or in absence of a degree, 6 years of relevant experience
- The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
- Prior experience within a manufacturing environment.
Skills We Value:
- Prior Composite (rubber/fiberglass/Urethane/carbon fiber) experience is highly desirable and preferred.
- Experience with mechanical fabrication/assembly preferred.
- Experience with the design, layout, and troubleshooting of manufacturing cells.
- Process Improvement experience is preferred.
- Experience with 2D & 3D CAD such has Solidworks and/or AutoCAD
- Microsoft office experience: Word and Excel preferred.

The salary range for this role is 66,000 USD - 130,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
