Description:Lockheed Martin is seeking an Associate Manufacturing Engineering Manager for a position in Oldsmar, FL. The candidate will lead a team of manufacturing engineers whose primary mission is to support the manufacturing team in the production of Cables, Sub-Assemblies, Cabinets, and Consoles across two shifts. The overall production output in this area is high mix, with an annual output of over 30,000 units across 7,000 individual PNs. The facility utilizes a mix of automated and manual equipment to complete this work. The facility utilizes operations excellence teams (OETs) to manage performance and the manufacturing engineering team is embedded within these OETs.

The position responsibilities include managing the day-to-day operations of the team, managing personnel, staffing, schedule compliance, reporting on efforts of the group and driving hardware deliveries to achieve mission success.

The candidate will lead in the areas of design concepts, machine utilization strategy, assembly manufacturing techniques, fabrication of tools and other functions that affect production.

The candidate should be a self-starter with proven record of working well with multi-discipline engineering teams, Manufacturing Program Managers and Supervisors.

The candidate should have broad range of experience related to engineering and manufacturing of cable, cabinet, and console assemblies to ensure success. The candidate should also have experience improving cost, schedule, quality, and safety related to the manufacturing of these assemblies.
Basic Qualifications:
• Experience leading teams in a Manufacturing Environment (Cable, Subassembly, Integration)

• Knowledge of electronics manufacturing industry standards such as IPC 620, IPC 610 and J-STD-001 (relevant to Cables, Subassembly, and Integration))

• Ability to manage priorities, make sound financial decisions and be flexible with schedule to support ever changing production needs

• Self-starter with the ability to work in a fast-paced, changing environment with minimal supervision is required.

• Experience with selection, training, performance assessment, work assignments, salary, recognition of employees, and/or disciplinary actions.

• Demonstrated effective interpersonal skills including oral, listening, technical writing and team building

• Proficient with Microsoft Office programs (i.e. Word, Excel, and Power Point)
Desired Skills:
• Lean / Six Sigma Green or Black Belt Certification
• Working knowledge of operating systems like Solumina
• Ability to perform trade studies and present results to Senior Leadership Team

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
