As Manufacturing Engineering NPI Industrialization Leader you will lead a team of Manufacturing Engineers and you will be responsible for the industrialization of new product within Avio Aero plants. In this role you will be responsible to ensure process readiness in accordance with the target of timing, quality and cost of the new initiatives working in strict collaboration with plants’ Manufacturing Engineering, Chief Manufacturing Engineering and Advanced Manufacturing Engineering.

Job Description

Essential Responsibilities

  • Coordinate ME resources allocated in the shops dedicated to the industrialization of new products

  • Develop and implement technological processes for the industrialization of NPIs in compliance with the objectives of time, recurring and non-recurring costs and quality, also through the application of the APQP

  • Ensure technical readiness in the Production Readiness Review process

  • Conduct Concurrence Engineering to ensure the Producibility of the new products

  • Leverage the CTH and CME network in order to guarantee the best industrialization in accordance with Avio Aero best practices

  • Contribute to create and update manufacturing best practices in collaboration with CTHs and CMEs

  • Ensure project studies for new initiatives and for the development of the industrial strategy in collaboration with the AME and the team dedicated to estimates

  • Improve the effectiveness and lead time of the industrialization process through the application of Lean, including ME VSM improvement

  • Collaborate with the CME office to define the industrial project contents for NPI initiatives by designing the process in compliance with technological standards

  • Ensure the definition of common operating standards between Avio Aero sites

  • Ensure the application of lean and 3P in the design of industrial processes

  • Collaborate with the AME team to define the needs in terms of new industrial technologies to define their development plans and ensure transferring to the shop

  • Ensure that industrial solutions for NPIs are in line and integrated with the plant development strategy by working in collaboration with plant leader, business leader and ME leader

  • Coordinate with Shop Manufacturing Engineering to ensure alignment on technologies and strategies

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Bachelor or Master degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering or similar background

  • Strong and proven experience in Manufacturing / Manufacturing Engineering

  • Strong and proven experience leading multi-discipline engineering/technical teams

  • Know-how in APQP and LEAN principles and methods

  • Robust technical competence on products design and manufacturing processes

  • Proven leadership skills to lead others in a matrix environment

  • Fluency in Italian and English language

  • Work Visa, in accordance with local regulation, is required
