We are seeking a Capabilities and Futures Lead Engineer who will oversee multiple efforts for the evaluation of new missile technologies. This Capabilities and Futures Lead Engineer will provide technical oversight to the Survivability Integrated Product Team (IPT) to include operations analysis, modeling, and performance engineers. Additionally, the Capabilities and Futures Lead Engineer will be responsible for ensuring the transition of early development efforts to new integration contracts. The Capabilities and Futures Lead Engineer will report to the program Chief Engineer and Lead Systems Engineer.
Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelors degree in Engineering or related technical field from an accredited college
• Experience leading product or development teams in areas of operations analysis, modeling and simulation (especially RF and IR), and performance and trajectory analysis
• Broad experience / familiarity with working in an engineering and technology functional organization
• Prior project or engineering management experience including task planning, budget management, subcontract management and employee development and mentoring
• Experience leading teams through product development, from proposal through all aspects of development. This includes SRR, PDR, CDR, Qualification, System Verification & Test, FCA and transition to production
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Final Secret clearance OR ability to obtain Secret clearance; Interim Secret required to start
• Proposal development experience; Basis of Estimate (BOE) development
• Earned Value Management experience
• Experience interfacing with leadership, customer counterparts and/or contractors
Desired Skills:
• Strong technical experience developing weapon systems
• Experience developing and managing programs within MBSE tools
• Demonstrated experience transitioning and leading teams with Agile and DevSecOps processes
• Comfortable planning and executing within an agile, continuous integration and delivery environment
• Demonstrated experience in developing high performance team and leading culture change in the organization
• Demonstrated ability to develop collaborative working environment across business units and with external customers/counterparts
• Experience working in technical teams across a virtual environment

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
