Job Description SummaryThis role leads and shapes the Tech mat rigs critical to maturing critical technologies for the Next Gen Advanced Ducted Engine. You will lead the launch of critical tech mat rigs that will start their design cycle this year, to align with our program TRL goals. You will lead cross-functional teams horizontally to deliver on the needs of the program. You will collaborate transparently with Design, Systems, Test Organization, Supply Chain, and other stake-holders relevant to execution. You will also engage with external testing facilities needed to support our testing.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Execute with limited guidance the analysis / evaluation of assigned projects that meet business standards, practices and procedures and the product / program requirements.

  • Recommend approach to meet the technical and program requirements.

  • Formulate and implement plans to achieve technical requirements, schedules and contract commitments.

  • Develop action plans to anticipate and respond to problem.

  • Provide technical guidance to other personnel and assigned teams; mentor others in the organization.

  • Assure proper documentation of technical data generated for the assigned projects and/or tasks consistent with engineering policies and procedures.

  • Monitor and communicate project status, business issues and significant developments.

  • Lead or participate in organizational efforts in assigned projects and/or tasks.

  • Participate as a presenter or reviewer in technical and program reviews.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in engineering from an accredited university or college.
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in systems engineering.

Desired Characteristics

  • Masters degree.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead programs / projects.
  • Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs.
  • Established project management skills.
