About The Job

Data & analytics today are one of the largest levers we have for accelerating a continuous improvement culture within the complete Satair. It is a key means to increase efficiency, competitiveness, employee engagement & most importantly customer satisfaction.

You will be part of the data, analytics & automation team that has a primary focus on building self service tools, data foundations and pipelines, supporting the upskilling of abilities within the functional teams to ensure the long term stability and scalability.

As an OpenShift & GitOps Engineer you will be required to work hand in hand with the data analytics teams to support them in regards to the infrastructure and platforms. We work with the OpenShift platform primarily hosting Apache Airflow and Open Data Discovery at the moment.

You will be part of a team spread across the globe, matching Satair’s operational footprint. It means working in small, multi-disciplinary teams with a focus and responsibility on delivering pragmatic solutions directly to the teams.

Tasks & Accountabilities

• Continuous improvement and maintenance of the DevOps infrastructure and tools

supporting our data product / engineering team members in building, optimizing and

automating activities (acting as one of the core focal point for maintaining the teams

DevOps infrastructure)

• Implement and improve monitoring and alerting of platforms and services

• Build and maintain highly available systems on OpenShift / Kubernetes.

• Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines

• Design procedures for system troubleshooting and maintenance

Required Skills

• You are a quick learner, passionate about your work and driven to get things done with a collaborative way of working

• Experience with OpenShift, Kubernetes, Docker and cloud deployment / configuration management tools (Chef, Ansible, Terraform etc) 

• Experience with container deployment and monitoring on the Kubernetes ecosystem such as (Helm, kubeadm, CSI, CNI etc)

• Experience with application deployment using CI/CD or GitOps pipeline architecture (Github, Jenkins, ArgoCD, Tekton, CodeFresh etc)

• Working knowledge of monitoring and logging tools (Prometheus, Graphana, Fluentbit ,Netcool, Humio)

• Strong understanding of networking concepts (would be a plus) and foundational knowledge of networking models and technologies including ethernet, IP, VLANs, routing, bridging etc

• Strong knowledge of English, both orally and in writing
