Job Description:
A. Accountabilities
The jobholder is accountable for ensuring a full understanding of the ABEC Export Control Compliance and Design engineering processes, methods and tools across the ABEC engineering teams. He/She ensures full compliance of the engineering teams.
● Export Control Compliance
▪ Ensure ABEC develops and implements relevant Process methods and tools to ensure Export control compliance with regards to all applicable jurisdictions (China, US, EU (TDC))
● Design Competence
▪ Contribute to Knowledge management (experience and knowledge sharing across teams)
● Design Process, Methods and tools
▪ Support development and improvement of engineering processes, methods and tools in line with 1A teams
▪ Ensure full compliance across all ABEC teams and provide business/expertise operational support)
● Prepare the future
▪ Define future PM&T and competence needs for the future of ABEC and prepare ABEC
▪ Support ACO1T project management and contribute to or lead internal projects (e.g. in the frame of AOS, career path…)
B. Main activities
⮚ Strategic activities
● Lead export control compliance activities in ACO1 (incl., classification method, knowledge dissemination in the different teams, record keeping…) ● Act as “Technical Rater” for ACO1 (refer to role description)
● Support new business development by performing specific competence analysis and by supporting startup of activities.
⮚ Client related activities
● Be the link to 1A PMT and expert network, and Export Control contact (in “Engineering”, “Customer Services”, “Legal”)
⮚ Operational activities
● Shall work together with the different ABEC operational teams to ensure company objectives about Financial performance, people development, process improvement, Customer satisfaction.
o Support Design Specialist Business/Expertise operational Support
o Deliver plan and material to secure the future of ABEC in term of
competences and PM&T and Export control compliance
o Contribute to PM&T improvement to achieve overall ABEC objectives ⮚ Developmental activities
● Ensure trainings and continuous development of engineering staff
competencies and skills including in export control

D. Input
⮚ Qualifications
• Education: Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering or above • Experience: 5 to 10 years, in aeronautical industry, linked to Design Engineering activities
o Good knowledge / experience on aviation industry which covers A/C
development, certification, manufacturing, maintenance and operation
o Good knowledge of end to end design process, and Serial Engineering
activities for all A/C programs
• Basic Skills: Design Engineering, Stress Numerical simulations,
Engineering Process Methods and Tools, Export control)
o Design Details: processes / Material / standard parts, Design principle
on different A/C, Design Dataset composition
• Language: Spoken and written English, Spoken and written Mandarin • Certifications:
