Boeing Defense Space & Security (BDS) Air Dominance Division is seeking Structural Analysis Engineers for Phantom Works advanced aircraft development programs located in Hazelwood, MO.

Our teams are currently hiring for a broad range of experience levels including Associate, Experienced and Senior Structural Analysis Engineers.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Develop, integrate and document structural requirements to establish the system design

  • Guide product design and verifies structural integrity by using and developing analytical methods, finite element models/simulations and other analysis tools throughout the product lifecycle to develop the structural environment, characteristics and performance

  • Coordinate with other engineering groups to establish the product’s environment

  • Develop test plans and configurations, supports test execution and analyzes/reports test results to validate and verify systems and components meet requirements and specifications

  • Define and document certification and test results to substantiate for customers and regulatory agencies that requirements are satisfied

  • Travel may be required up to 10 of the time

This position is expected to be 100 onsite.  The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship.  An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.

This position requires ability to obtain program access, for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship only.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science

  • Experience working with Finite Element Models (FEM) and tools (NASTRAN/PATRAN)

  • Experience working with design or analysis of metallic and composite structure

  • (Level 3): 3 or more years related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience

  • (Level 4): 5 or more years related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience

Typical Education/Experience: 

(Level 2)

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 2 or more years related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. Master). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

(Level 3)

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master+3 years related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

(Level 4)

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+4 years related work experience, Master+7 years related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. 

Summary pay range (Associate, level 2): 75,500 – 103,500

Summary pay range (Experienced, level 3): 95,200 – 128,800

Summary pay range (Senior, level 4): 115,600 – 156,400
