Pay Rate: $47.79 - $60.51 per hour
About the Role:
Join PDS Tech Commercial, as a Power Electronics Engineer and help shape the future of space exploration! In this role, youll collaborate with a dynamic, multidisciplinary team, solving complex challenges in power electronics for cutting-edge aerospace applications. Your expertise in circuit analysis, testing, and troubleshooting will play a critical role in designing systems that impact lives globally.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
- Conduct Worst Case Circuit Analysis (WCCA) on power electronics designed for space missions.
- Test and troubleshoot power electronics to ensure reliability and functionality.
- Report project status and technical issues to the Integrated Product Team (IPT) Lead or Lead Engineer.
- Analyze data and work with engineers to refine designs to meet stringent project requirements.
- Collaborate with manufacturing, design engineers, and leadership to bring innovative technologies to life.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in a STEM discipline with 9 years of experience or a Master’s degree with 7 years of experience, or a PhD with 4 years of experience.
- Expertise in circuit analysis tools such as Saber or LTSpice.
- Proven experience in performing WCCA on power conversion circuits.
- Extensive hands-on experience testing power conversion circuit card assemblies using standard test equipment (oscilloscopes, waveform generators, electronic loads, etc.).
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- This position requires use of information or access to facilities subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). These regulations may limit access of controlled technologies: 1) to U.S. Persons, including U.S. Citizens, lawful permanent residents, and other narrow categories including refugees and asylees, or 2) to certain foreign nationals that have received an export license.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with power electronics for aerospace or space applications.
- Familiarity with power conversion technologies.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment.

Pay Details: $47.79 to $60.51 per hour
