Senior Principal Embedded Software Engineer job in Huntsville, Alabama is available with Moseley Technical Services top Defense company. In this cleared, full time, direct hire, salaried job you will Develop and implement scripts that drive the automated testing efforts for the Ground-based Midcourse Defense (GMD) Weapons Systems (GWS) Ground Support Systems (GSS) product team.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement scripts that drive the automated testing efforts for the Ground-based Midcourse Defense (GMD) Weapons Systems (GWS) Ground Support Systems (GSS) product team.
• Support advanced portions of the lifecycle of software development to include requirements definition, integration, and deployment.
• Develop requirements driven software solutions.
• Resolve software issues (debugging) and support verification / test analysis.
• Prioritize and adjust tasks to accomplish project results with limited oversight and direction.
• Apply "systems thinking" to ensure developed products are scalable, maintainable, and meet end-user needs.
• Communicate openly and effectively with teammates and customer representatives.
• Ability and willingness to travel 10 to support business needs.

Qualifications:

• U.S. Citizen with Active DoD Secret security clearance is required
• Bachelor’s Degree in STEM and 5+ years of related experience,
• Experience developing software in C++ and Java.
• Experience with software development for embedded systems.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working on CMMI Level 3+ programs.
• Security + Certification
• Experience developing using RHEL OS.
• Scripting languages and tools: Python, MATLAB, etc.
• UI Framework / JavaFX exposure
• Git version control
• Familiarity with build tools: Gradle and/or CMake, etc.
• Familiarity utilizing the Atlassian tool suite (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, Fisheye Crucible)
• Familiarity with Software Containerization
