What You Will Do:
Plan and develop tooling methods for the assembly, disassembly, inspection, repair, and test of Pratt & Whitney commercial and military jet engines. Project Engineer must exercise a high degree of initiative and judgment during the development of assembly tooling. You will analyze, plan and establish tool requirements to support assembly and disassembly of validation and production engines and modules. Must be a U.S. Citizen. This position may require access to systems/tools that are restricted to individuals who possess US citizenship.

Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze, plan and establish tool requirements to support assembly/disassembly of validation/production engines/modules.
- Develop concepts for assembly/disassembly procedures.
- Manage project tasks to ensure tooling is delivered on time and within budget.
- Participate in P&W Integrated Product Teams (IPT) to help ensure assembly tooling designs can be produced, supported and maintained.
- Interface with customer and supplier representatives to identify requirements and resolve assembly tooling related issues.
Qualifications You Must Have:
- Bachelor’s degree in aerospace or mechanical engineering or engineering technology with 8+ years of engineering experience required, or, an advanced degree in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering or Engineering Technology and 5 years of engineering experience required.
- 2+ yrs experience and ability to interpret and work from engineering and tool drawings.
- The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required.
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Qualifications we Prefer:
- Knowledge and experience with Project Management toolsets (e.g., Agile, SAP, Primavera, or MS Project) and experience using and navigating Teamcenter and Unigraphics/NX.
- Understanding of manufacturing practices, jet engine assembly/disassembly and maintenance procedures.
- Demonstrated experience leading engineering teams, budgets, and schedules while balancing the ability to solve technical problems with minimal direction.
- Ability to interface effectively with both internal and external customers utilizing solid communication skills.
- Active Security Clearance.

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance workers, as they are essential to the development of our engines.
This position is open to internal applicants only within Pratt & Whitney Engineering. To help shore up our military programs, we are looking to reallocate resources to USG direct charging roles and therefore consider this to be an internal to Pratt Engineering movement. We may look to open these opportunities upon more broadly once we complete the initial Pratt Engineering talent moves.
The salary range for this role is 96,000 USD - 200,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.
This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
