In Systems Integration and Test (SI&T) we integrate, verify, and validate our products.
We put our systems together, exercise them in the lab or in the field, measure and analyze performance, and make sure our products work the first time and every time.
To accomplish this, we develop plans and procedures, debug and evaluate system functions and interfaces, develop test environments, and work hand-in-hand with our customers.
The Factory Operations Support Engineer is responsible for providing Tier 3 support for field production systems running software web-based applications on a Linux operating system.
The Tier 3 support includes reviewing incidents submitted by the customer and tracking these to resolution.
What You Will Do
You will provide support or resolution by utilizing typical system administration functions or routing the issue to the correct team for resolution.
As part of the issue investigation, you will also work with the software or systems engineers to investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve the issues reported via defect fixes.
You will provide support requirement verification, regression testing as well as software and hardware deployment of the production systems.
You will participate in prime/customer meetings, including Integration & Test Strategy Meetings and Deployment Readiness Reviews.
You will be accountable for time and resources to meet assigned deadlines.
Attend technical interchange meetings with the team members and other program personnel.
Apply communication, analytic and problem-solving skills to identify issues, and help with resolution.
Represent the organization in matters pertaining to the development of the project.
Provide document review and resolve technical systems test issues.
Support the Engineer Change Process.
Obtain and maintain access as required by program
This position is an onsite role in Richardson, TX.
Qualifications You Must Have
Typically requires a Bachelor’s in science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of eight (8) years of prior relevant experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulations.
Experience in verification and validation of system and/or subsystem requirements. Current CompTIA Sec+ Certification, Experience presenting information to a customer audience.
Experience in Systems Integration experience on very large and robust systems with multiple networks, virtual machines and network connected machines.
Experience with Linux, scripting, PERL, web-based applications, Experience troubleshooting network connection related incidents, and capturing issue and resolutions thereof within a formal defect process.
Qualifications We Prefer
Experience in Systems Test Engineering experience on a large government software development contract.
Experience performing regression test activities and Discrepancy Report (DR) verification.
Experience with containers and pipeline, Experience working in an Agile or DevOps development environment, being part of a highly integrated team working closely with Software, Integration and Verification teams.
Experience creating and updating operations manuals, work instructions, and test tools and scripting languages, Python, etc.
Experience in Broadcom API gateways

The salary range for this role is 101,000 USD - 203,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
