Position Summary


DRS Infrared Sensors and Systems in Dallas, Texas specializes as a worldwide leader in thermal imagery and sensory solutions for commercial and military applications. We are looking to add a new member to our Focal Plane Array team to help provide the vision and technical expertise necessary to drive our development and improvement activities needed to lead the industry in product capability and manufacturability. We are looking for someone who can develop and/or improve  Photolithography processes relating to processing FPA wafers and who will consistently drive to push our processing technology and manufacturability beyond its current capability.


Job Requirements:
Basic Qualifications and Required Skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in an applicable engineering field with 8+ years progressively complex engineering experience or equivalent combination of education/training and experience
  • Experience with a variety of Photolithography equipment and processes
  • Strong knowledge and experience with programming and operation ASML Steppers
  • Experience with process control and development using Positive Photo resist 
  • Ability to obtain a U.S. government security clearance

Desired Skills and Experience

  • Strong knowledge base of processes used to mount die/bars to wafers
  • Strong knowledge and experience with programming and operation TEL Mark 8 coat develop systems a plus
  • Knowledge of and experience with DSW Steppers a plus
  • Experience with process control and development using Negative Photo resist a plus
  • Experience coating resist over high topographies a plus
  • Experience with antireflective coating, contrast enhancement material, etc. a plus
  • Experience with and understanding of the proper implementation and use of statistical process control techniques
  • Experience with data collection and databases
  • Organizational skills and the ability to document and communicate plans, experiments, progress, and results
  • Ability to write Operation Specifications for Equipment and Processes in a clear and concise manner
  • Self motivated and focused on developing and successfully implementing the team’s vision and goals

Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide the vision for the future of process development/improvement activities needed to lead in product capability and manufacturability in the photolithography area
  • Sustain and improve current and develop new processes in the photolithography area
  • Consistently drive our processing technology beyond its current capabilities and robustness
  • Lead and complete projects on schedule and budget
  • Provide technical knowledge and assistance to other engineers and support personnel
  • Mentor less experienced engineers in Photolithography processing
  • Analyze complex technical problems and recommend corrective actions
  • Support, communicate, reinforce and defend the mission, values and culture of the organization
  • Other duties as assigned

U.S. Citizenship required. This position requires an active DOD security clearance or the ability to obtain such clearance within a reasonable time after commencement of employment.
