We have an exciting opportunity for a Principal Program Quality Engineer (PQE) Lead.
The effective candidate will provide in-depth knowledge of Quality Management System requirements to support development efforts for Proprietary Programs. They will help develop and monitor quality metrics, develop objective evidence to support customer deliverables, and support supplier activities and requirements flow down. This role will also include Transition to Production activities to ensure future production programs are set up for success.
This is an onsite role.
What You Will Do
- Develop partnerships with program leaders, Integrated Product Teams (IPTs), and functions to define steps necessary to implement Quality strategies.
- Perform process walks and use metrics to drive quality improvements across labs and program work areas.
- Review engineering drawings and support Engineering Review Board (ERB) / Configuration Change Board (CCB) as the quality representative.
- Lead and perform root cause analysis, facilitate corrective actions, and implement closed loop process controls along with continuous improvement methods.
- Review contract deliverables and coordinate with program personnel and Defense Contract Management Agency (DCMA) for DD250 sell-off / customer acceptance.
Qualifications You Must Have
- Typically requires Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and eight (8) years of related professional experience.
- Working experience in root cause analysis, corrective / preventive actions.
- Working experience using metrics to drive action and achieve results.
- Active and transferrable final U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date with the ability to obtain program access after start. US citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Qualifications We Prefer
- Knowledge of Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP).
- Familiarity with ISO 9001 and/or AS9100 Quality Management Systems.
- Knowledge of Supplier Quality Engineering.
- Certification in Six Sigma, CORE, or American Society for Quality (ASQ).

The salary range for this role is 96,000 USD - 200,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
