Key Tasks:
 ? Elaboration and agreement of system requirements understanding the change in system capability against an established design baseline
 ? Support the testing and acceptance process for both hardware & software releases
 ? Development of design specifications under guidance and carry out design activities in line with specifications and all quality and technical standards
 ? Developing, maintaining and improving engineering processes and procedures in assigned areas in response to technical developments and operational need
 ? Completion of technical analyses and investigations, including evaluation and selection of technical options, and prepare reports/presentations with suggested recommendations to support the design of improvements
 ? Review/agreement of External Interface documents and management of interface baseline
 ? Other engineering activities such as performance testing, human factors, safety analysis, information assurance etc.
 ? Liaise with customers and/or suppliers in assigned areas on engineering matters to achieve projects to time and to budget

Skills:

 ? Ability to operate in a large, complex multi-project environment
 ? To have knowledge of a number of the following systems engineering disciplines:
o Requirements Analysis & Management
o System Design
o Human Factors
o Performance Analysis
o System Acceptance Management
o Trials & Integration Support
o Configuration Management
o Safety (e.g. Functional Failure & Fault Tree Analysis)
o Security
 ? Experience of interacting with engineers across multiple disciplines e.g. hardware, software & systems
 ? Experience of delivering systems, working to deadlines and working in a pressurised environment
 ? Knowledge of DOORS requirements tool
