Northrop Grumman Technology Services sector is seeking a PrincipalSystems Engineer to join our growing team of diverse professionals in Warner Robins, Georgia to support our C-130 Avionics Maintenance and Modernization Programs.

The Systems Engineer (SE) is responsible for coordination and collaboration with diverse engineering design teams to provide imaginative, technical solutions.

Responsibilities:

Collaborates with diverse engineering design teams to provide imaginative, technical solutionsModernizes flight-decks, SIL development, conducting flight and ground testingSupports the development of software requirements, software specifications, and user system developmentWorks closely with subject-matter experts and our customer, the United States Air ForceLiaises with Integrated Product Teams and other team members in order to prepare and present status updates and other presentations to stakeholdersUtilizes “systems thinking” and working knowledge of the full development life-cycle processes that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints.

Job Requirements:

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math (STEM) discipline with a minimum of 5 years of engineering experience OR Master’s degree in a STEM discipline with a minimum of 3 years of engineering experience OR PhD in a STEM discipline
  • Must be able to work on-site in Warner Robins, Georgia


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with navigation systems including GPS and/or inertial sensors.
  • Software Tools:  Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Project, Visio), Matlab, LabView, Clearquest/Clearcase, Simulink, DOORS, TeamCenter
  • Vehicle Management Systems / Flight critical Line Replaceable Unit (LRU) experience
  • Requirements development
  • Requirements verification testing
  • Proficiency with test equipment (oscilloscopes, signal generators, signal analyzers, multi-meters)
  • Experience with databuses (MIL-STD-1553B, RS-232, RS-422, RS-485, ARINC 429, Ethernet)
  • Flight Test experience
  • Supplier management
  • Deep understanding of the GPS system, the GPS Signal in Space characteristics, DGPS systems, inertial sensors, GPS/INS tightly coupled Kalman filters, GPS receiver design
  • Experienced in Human Systems Integration
  • Demonstrated competency in Integration & Test (I&T) processes, to include simulation, embedded software, and systems testing procedures
