Principal Area of Responsibility: The Process Engineer is a member of the Wax Engineering team. The successful candidate will lead root cause analysis, develop process controls, and champion new processes. The Process Engineer coordinates dispositions cross-functionally with other departments and/or the customer as needed.

Specific Duties:

  • Champions the development of specific investment casting processes to meet required customer specification, quality and production goals.
  • Responsible for investment casting process improvements including elimination of wax defects such as cracks, handling, dimensional defects and the improvement of machine utilization.
  • Develop new processes, define controls and develop solutions to process related programs.
  • Coordinates with product engineer, production engineers, supervisors and other stakeholders to achieve plant scrap targets.
  • Communicate with customers on process issues.
  • Prepare process approval packages on developmental jobs or revised processes.
  • Provide hands on, floor level investigations and problem solving.
  • Respond as necessary on the off shift to advise on and provide solutions to process problems.
  • Maintain a positive work atmosphere by behaving and communicating in a manner that gets along with customers, clients, co-workers, supervisors, and peers.
  • Accept special projects as assigned.

  • Ability to analyze technical data and prepare reports, statements and projections. A proactive, hands-on strategic thinker with solid problem-solving skills.
  • Experience presenting to high levels of management with confidence and precision.
  • Solid, overall business acumen and a strong mindset for continuous improvement.
  • Attention to detail and an attitude of 100 compliance with all company and regulatory requirements.
  • Work requires verbal communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to motivate teams to produce quality materials within tight timeframes and simultaneously manage several projects.
  • High energy level and ability to work flexible hours.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident (Green Card Holder).
This position requires use of information or access to production processes subject to national security controls under U.S. export control laws and regulations (including, but not limited to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and the Export Administration Regulations (EAR)).
