POSITION SUMMARY

As a Sales/Product Strategy Engineer, you will be part of the Product Strategy and Competitive Intelligence Group, within the Marketing Organization, in charge of listening to our Customers, analyzing and prioritizing requests and finally recommending short, medium and long term roadmaps to the Company Executive Board and their direct reports, ultimately guaranteeing the competitiveness of the product assigned to you and the entire Embraer Executive Jets products portfolio.

A Product Strategy professional is a curious, creative and flexible problem solver and a good communicator. Successful Product Strategy professionals need to be able to put themselves in their Customers’ shoes and build products to solve their Customers’ problems, meet their needs, understand their jobs, motivations, and desires. Ability to build chemistry and generate enthusiasm among the various teams and departments responsible for developing their products is also mandatory. Last, but not least, a Product Strategy professional needs to have an extra dose of passion and resilience as sometimes, their projects will just not takeoff and they will have to start it all over again.

JOB RESPONSIBLITIES

  • Work with Business Aviation product planning and product marketing
  • Listen to the market understanding customer needs and requests.
  • Attend Global Operators Conferences
  • Join Supplier Roadmap Workshops
  • Organize and execute Advisory Board Meetings
  • Conduct interviews with Customers
  • Listen to the Sales and Customer Support Teams
  • Evaluate Win & Loss and Demo Reports
  • Attend industry relevant trade shows
  • Gather market requirements.
  • Identify new product candidates
  • Scope and define new products at high level
  • Nurture a healthy technical interface with Programs/Engineering/Advanced Design in order to communicate product requirements.
  • Work with Programs, Market Strategy and Finance Teams on enhancements and new products Business Cases
  • Build product roadmaps (short, medium and long term)
  • Ensure products are up to spec
  • Work on product Life Cycle considerations as well as product differentiation
  • Evaluate product positioning and outbound messaging
  • Promote the product externally with press, customers, and partners.
  • Bring new products to market,
  • Monitor the competition and
  • Maintain and enhance Product Strategy Cockpit and Processes

ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Education:

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Aerospace Engineering or equivalent

Experience:

  • 0-2 years’ experience in Business Aviation in related area preferred.
  • Data analytics and programming skills required.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Comprehension and understanding of broad practices associated within the field assigned.
  • Applies these understandings in the completion of moderately complex work assignments.
  • Good communication skills (Written & Verbal)
  • Multi-Lingual preferred.
  • Strong skills in aviation/financial/economy analysis.
  • Understanding of Product Strategy/Product Planning/Competitive Intelligence techniques.
  • Knowledge of business and administration principles.
  • Experience in project management.
  • Teamwork abilities.
  • Strong computer skills in Microsoft office (Word, Excel, and Power Point).
  • Strong computer skills in Qualtrix and Salesforce.
  • Programming skills.

Working Conditions / Environment/ Special Requirements

  • Ability to work in a safe professional manner adhering to all regulatory requirements including, OSHA, EPA, State and Federal regulations.
  • Hybrid work (at least three days at the office)
