Description:Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control (LMMFC) Lufkin, TX is seeking a motivated and driven Quality Engineer to support the Tactical Strike Missile program. As a recognized designer, developer and manufacturer of precision engagement aerospace and defense systems for the U.S. and allied militaries, LMMFC offers the vital capabilities needed to provide our war fighting and civilian customers the products and services they need in their defining moments.
Quality Engineers at LMMFC act as an integrated member of the design and production teams developing and reviewing quality standards, methods, work instructions and procedures for the inspection of manufactured and procured products.
To ensure our customer gets the highest level of Quality, our Quality Engineers review/approve documentation related to internal and external manufacturing processes to ensure requirements are fulfilled.
In a culture of continuous improvement our department utilizes lean initiatives to reduce waste and drive affordability and efficiency. Working with an integrated team which includes customers, suppliers and other functional personnel, non-conformances are identified, trended and resolved in a timely manner.
As a vital member of the team, a Quality Engineer at Missiles and Fire Control evaluates the designs, both electrical and mechanical, to ensure a producible product is being proposed with processes in place for a smooth production flow.

Open to recent and May 2024 graduates.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related Engineering discipline from an accredited college.

The candidate must be a US citizen.

• Able to interpret drawings and specifications to develop and apply quality test and inspection methods and able to translate into work instruction.
• Ability to apply decision-making and judgement in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with effective presentation skills.
• Ability to work in a collaborative and team-based
environment.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
