Morson Talent are currently looking to recruiting a Quality Engineer to join our Aerospace & Defence client based in Leicester. Within this role, you will be responsibilities for Programmes & Project Quality Assurance, Internal & Supplier Audits, Internal production & Supplier product verifications (Including Goods-Receipt & FAI) & Non Conformity investigations & management.

The Role
Plan, Manage, Perform & report Programme/Project Quality Assurance activities:
- Write & Maintain Quality Plans.
- Report Programme Quality Performance.
- Plan, Manage & report programme compliance audits.
- Approve programme, project & Design documentation & data.
- Support & Assure supply chain / purchasing activities.
Production & Goods Receipt assurance activities such as:
- Inspection & release of; New, Repaired & upgraded product, and its documentation, at Goods Receipt & in manufacture.
- Internal Manufacturing & Production Assurance activities.
- Managing preparation & completion of customer product reviews & sell Offs
- Completion of Internal First Article Inspections & reports.
Compliance assurance activities in verification of Company & Third-Party requirements:
- Undertaking, reporting & managing Internal Process Audits.
- Supplier Audits, Visits & evaluations (UK & Abroad), as designated.
- Internal Production & Product Audits.
Person Specification
The Quality Engineer will develop and manage effective relationships across the breadth of the company and its customers and have the confidence to technically lead cross discipline project teams, you will also be able to demonstrate the following skills and capabilities:
- Formal Auditing Qualifications (Desirable)
- Qualifications in Quality & Engineering / Technical field, or proven experience.
- Ability to learn, understand and retain complex information
- Strong problem solving and team building skills.
- Strong inter-personal and people management skills
- Strong business and commercial acumen
- Excellent attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills across all levels and stakeholders, both verbal and written
- Excellent analytical and decision-making skills
Knowledge:
- Must have knowledge and experience of Third-Party aerospace / aviation / Automotive standards (AS9100, AS9102 (FAI), TS16949 &/or ISO9001.
- Experienced in Quality Engineering, ideally from an aerospace / aviation / defence background, who is able to plan, coordinate & execute quality assurance activities.
- Experience of Supply Chain (SQA) activities & audits.
- Experience of Programme / Projects Assurance in a Production / Manufacturing / Purchasing environment.
- Experience in a role where initiative has been used to deliver results in a structured manner.
- Knowledge and experience of UK Military regulations (DAOS, MAOS, AQAP’s) preferred.
- Knowledge of fault investigation tools & processes, such as 8D / 5 Whys.
- Good working knowledge of Windows operating system and Microsoft office toolset.
