Job Description:
Core Responsibilities:
- Review customer contracts and requirements, and interpret customer and regulatory requirements to ensure effective integration into appropriate customer, engineering, manufacturing, operations, and quality plans and quality management system—in-house and at suppliers.
- Develop and analyze statistical data and specifications to establish product and process capabilities (Cp/Cpk).
- Identify, develop, and implement process controls to meet customer/specification requirements.
- Perform audits within the Company and at suppliers and work with the organization to ensure compliance with customer requirements and internal procedures (i.e. AS9100, ISO9001, NADCAP, and Product Operation Sheets)
- Prepare technical packages for Internal & Customer review: First Article, PPAP, and VSE, MRB concessions, etc.
- Maintain configuration control of customer, regulatory, and internal documentation to meet contractual and corporate policy.
- Investigate and provide effective relentless Root Cause Analysis along with Corrective and Preventive Actions for process and product non-conformances in-house and at supplier base.
- Participate in and support the maintenance of the Quality Management System and Maintain Quality Department business metrics
- Participate in cross-functional teams on process control, improvement, and optimization projects; participate in other continuous improvement projects (i.e. Kaizen, Baseline, Production, and Preparation Process (3P).
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, aerospace experience desired.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; proven ability to effectively influence and motivate others; must be able to deal with ambiguity and various changing requirements.
- Must be able to work in and encourage a collaborative environment and to perform positively in high conflict situations.
- Excellent quantitative, statistical and analytical skills with strong organization and project management skills.
- Proven functional experience in a manufacturing environment with successful track record of results.
- Proficient in the interpretation of customer drawings and specifications.
- Proficient computer skills on Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, and statistical tools (i.e., Minitab).
- Statistical Process Control background.
- Green Belt certification preferred. Lean certification with practical experience, a plus.
- Experience with Calibration Standard ANSI Z540, OEM and MRO regulations including NADCAP, FAR/EASA 145, CAAC and ISO9001/AS9100/AS9110 highly desirable.
Education Requirements:· Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering and/or equivalent experience, preferably in a technical field.
