Position Summary:

SUMMARY

  • FUNCTION
  • The Quality Manager reports to the Director of Quality and is responsible for inspection, MRB, quality administration and metrology laboratory operations within the department.
  • RESPONSIBILITIES AND RELATIONSHIPS
  • Within this established area of jurisdiction, the Quality Manager is responsible for the specific functions listed below:

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

  • GENERAL
  • Maintain oversight of operational goals for Quality Engineering and Administration, and Quality Control Metrology and metallurgical laboratories to meet company objectives consistent with established quality standards
  • Participate in all customer audits to show that company procedures are in compliance with customer requirements, and to determine and provide appropriate corrective actions to Director of Quality when not in agreement
  • Analyze and evaluate quality and reliability capabilities of potential suppliers, and perform quality surveys and analyses of in-house quality programs and manufacturing processes to determine adequacy of systems and compliance with requirements
  • Interact with customers, military, vendors and regulatory agencies to provide responses for any procedures
  • SUPERVISION THROUGH SUBORDINATE SUPERVISION

Accomplish function through direction of the following manufacturing departments

    • Quality Engineering: Supervise function including corrective actions, material disposition, internal audits, vendor control, trend analysis and cost of quality

      • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
      • To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Word Processing software; Spreadsheet software; Accounting software; Inventory software; Design software; Internet software; Order processing systems; Project Management software; Manufacturing software; Database software and Contact Management systems.

      Required Experience and Education:

      Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Operations, Engineering, Business or related field required. 5+ years’ experience in a manufacturing environment preferred, Aerospace experience highly preferred.

      For informational purposes only, the range of pay for this role is $113700 to $170500 US Dollar (USD) Salaried based on a variety of factors. For informational purposes only, this role is eligible to participate in the Company’s Quarterly Cash Bonus Plan, paid out at the quarterly bonus factor of 2X the Company’s bonus multiple, based on the Company’s performance in the applicable quarter. Employees will receive 120 hours paid time off every year. Employees will also receive 10 paid holidays. Employees (and their families) are eligible to participate in the company&39;s medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance. Employees are eligible to enroll in the Company’s 401(k) plan.
      This position requires use of information or access to production processes subject to national security controls under U.S. export control laws and regulations (including, but not limited to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and the Export Administration Regulations (EAR)). To be qualified to work in this facility, a successful applicant must be a U.S. Person, as defined in those regulations, and able to supply evidence of that qualification prior to starting work or be authorized to receive controlled information under a specific license or permission from the relevant government agency.
