The BMC2 Capabilities engineering organization is seeking Senior Principal DevSecOps Engineers to join our software development team located onsite in St. Petersburg, FL.
Our teams develop software in a variety of languages, primarily C++ and python. Candidates can expect to work on many—if not all—of the phases of the software development life cycle. In this position, you will be responsible for providing practical solutions to difficult technical software problems. Teams are organized using Agile scrum methodology.
What You Will Do
- Manage complex DevSecOps pipelines for embedded systems applications and declarative pipelines (Gitlab or Github Actions).
- Design, code, test, integrate, and document software solutions.
- Participate in internal reviews of software components and systems.
- Coaching, reviewing and delegating work to lower-level professionals.
- Follow established development practices and processes to maintain the configuration management of software products.
- Operate in a collaborative, SAFe agile environment.
Qualifications You Must Have
- Experience Integrating with JFrog Artifactory or similar for DevSecOps pipelines and with programming in bash and python.
- Experience with declarative pipelines (Gitlab or Github Actions) and containerizing legacy workflows for DevSecOps infrastructure.
- Experience integrating tools using RESTful APIs and building Grafana dashboards and building basic Kubernetes deployments in YAML.
- Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 8 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 14 years of relevant experience.
- Active and transferable U.S. government DoD issued Interim Secret security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Active Secret or Top-Secret Clearance is preferred.
- Experience developing software in a team-based development environment, preferably Agile/SCRUM, DevSecOps and test automation.
- Experience in prior leadership roles such as a Scrum Master, Product Owner or equivalent.
- Experience migrating scripted Jenkins pipelines to declarative Gitlab pipelines.
- Experience with test reporting frame-works like Robot Framework.

The salary range for this role is 118,000 USD - 246,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
