BBETC is seeking a Senior Structural Analysis Engineer, with knowledge of stress analysis methods, engineering principles and coordination skills, reporting to the Structures Manager, working in the São José dos Campos office. 
The Senior Structural Analysis Engineer will join Boeing Commercial Aircraft Structures team and will develop and provide support to the 7-Series Boeing aircraft, focused on Wing and Empennage.

Position Responsibilities:


•    Lead the development, integration and documentation of structural modifications on system and sub-system levels.
•    Guide product design and verify structural integrity of parts and components by using analytical methods, finite element models/simulations and other analysis tools throughout the product lifecycle to ensure safety, quality and performance of the product.
•    Participate on customers and other stakeholders’ communication and propose solutions that meet or exceed expectations.
•    Lead the investigation of root causes and customer’s reports and provide timely responses to the fleet and production events.
•    Lead the definition of affected structural requirements, create certification reports (analysis or tests) to substantiate stress analysis results to be disclosed and approved by customers and/or regulatory agencies.
•    Support in-service products by investigating failures and analyzing improvements.
•    Develops analytical processes/tools to improve effectiveness, quality and efficiency of the development effort.
•    Be a role-model for the younger engineers, guiding them and being an example to be followed.
•    Work under minimal direction.

The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):


•    Bachelor’s degree or higher in accredited universities.
•    In-depth experience with Structures Engineering (Static, Fatigue and Damage Tolerance analysis).
•    In-depth understanding of composite analysis and composite failure modes.
•    In-depth understanding of metallic components analysis and metallic joints.
•    Experience with Wing and Empennage structural design and calculation.
•    High familiarity on writing certification documentation and/or analysis report.
•    Must have existing rights to work in Brazil.
•    Proficient in both verbal and written communications skills in the English Language.
•    Must be registered or eligible to register with the Engineering and Agronomy Regional Council (Conselho Nacional de Engenharia e Agronomia – CREA).


Preferred Qualifications (Education/Experience):


•    In-depth experience in structural analysis methods and tools (Hand-Calculation and Finite Element Analysis Method).
•    Familiarity with CAD software (Catia and/or other).
•    Familiarity with CAE software for FEM (Patran, Hypermesh, Abaqus etc.).
•    Direct experience/participation working with compliance demonstration for regulatory requirements (ANAC/FAA).
•    Experience with Fleet Support and Repair’s design and substantiation.
•    Knowledge of Aircraft Manuals, such as SRM, AMM, FIM, AIPC and other.
•    Experience with aircraft production line, production support, short-term and long-term design solutions.
•    Occasional travel may be required in support of the program and customer.
•    Excellent verbal and written communication skills to communicate with leaders and colleagues in an engineering environment.

This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility. Note: Basic relocation will be offered for eligible internal candidates. 

Additional Information:
This requisition is for a locally hired position in Brazil. Candidates must have current legal authorization to live and work in Brazil. Benefits and pay are determined at the local level and are not part of Boeing U.S. based payroll.
