The Advanced Ground Systems (AGS) program in Colorado Springs is growing and needs a senior systems engineer to provide leadership for the development of our Nation’s newest systems to support Battle Management Command, Control, and Communications (BMC3) programs.

Boeing is developing state of the art Space BMC2 systems leveraging cutting edge technology across a diverse portfolio of applications and programs.  We seek a candidate having knowledge in some of the following space mission areas: launch vehicles, satellite systems, space based sensors, mission and vehicle command & control (C2), modeling and simulation, system integration, and interoperability.  We seek candidates who have strong systems engineering, communication, and organizational skills. The position requires a wide range of technical and project management skills, and the ability to work with multiple stakeholders (customer, Boeing, supplier) to ensure the best value is delivered.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Plan and execute a set of defined products for the management of engineering and support processes (SEMP, SDP, SAD, etc)
  • Establish a requirements baseline including analysis, derivation, allocation, and traceability of requirements and interfaces, including external systems and organizations
  • Requirements and TPM management including use of DOORS
  • Identify, Perform and Review design decisions, trade studies, architecture improvements
  • Decompose complex requirements into executable discrete user stories
  • Establish and support system level management and interfaces
  • Promote the use of Model Based Engineering through-out the development lifecycle
  • Work with MBE Toolsets such as SPARX Enterprise Architect
  • Develop and manage risk with tools such as BORIS

As a member of the Systems Engineering team, you will be involved in the entire development life cycle, from idea creation and development, all the way through to maintenance and support of the customer’s delivered system.  These positions will place you in roles where you have the opportunity to make an impact on the results of our project.  The Systems Engineering team offers a collaborative mentoring environment where you have the opportunity to mentor others, establishing the future of our organization.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills and Experience)

  • BS degree in Engineering, Math, Physics is required.
  • Must possess a current Top Secret/SCI clearance.  Boeing Security will validate clearance level.
  • 8+ years of experience with Systems Engineering

Desired Experience, Skills, and Qualifications:

Typical Education/Experience:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 14 or more years related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+9 years related work experience, Master+12 years related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
