Lockheed Martin TLS Orlando is looking for a high performing Systems, Integration and Test Engineer to support the development and testing of simulation and training products. This position requires leading and performing systems engineering tasks including trade studies, needs analyses, requirements allocation, detailed test planning and resource allocation in support of development, upgrade, and production support projects. Analyses will be performed at all levels of total system product to include: concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal.

The selected individual will:
- Lead and work with a team of Systems and Integration and Test Engineers to define System,
Software, and Hardware Requirements necessary for the design, implementation, and evolution TLS
products. Maintain System Interface Control Documentation baseline.
- Support software engineering development through requirements interpretation and maintenance.
- Provide information and coordination with technical and program leadership.
- Provide program planning and status inputs to team leadership, as necessary to ensure program Cost,
Technical, and Schedule constraints are achieved.
- Interface with Senior Management to ensure enough resources are assigned to complete the activity on-time and within budgetary constraints.
- Mentor junior engineers to guide their learning and enable knowledge transfer.
- Travel to customer site to support Troubleshooting and Issue resolution and Technical Refresh (25-50 onsite support based on program phase)
- Help win customer confidence through integrity, technical competency, effective communications,
problem solving and capability demonstrations.
Basic Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years high fidelity Flight Training Device (FTD) experience and have delivered a high fidelity FTD
- An understanding of simulation-based training system architectures, subsystem designs, requirements management approaches
- Experience solving complex technical problems and leading groups of engineers through technical evaluations, compilation of results, and development of recovery-plans / options,
- Experience leading and working as a member of a multi-disciplined team,
- Experience in program planning, cost, schedule, performance and sub-contract management,
- Knowledge of the systems development lifecycle and associated processes,
- Willingness to work in-plant full time.
- Willingness to travel as required (Domestically and Internationally) to support program objectives (25-50 travel support required based on program phase).
Desired Skills:
Experience in the following areas:
- Developing technical requirements for Fixed Wing flight training solution
- Simulation and training domain experience
- Strong IT/networking background to include: VLAN, VM, and UDP/TCP concepts.
- Conducting trade studies on solution options
- Preparing for and conducting proposal technical reviews
- Partnering with Sub-contract Management organization to write Supplier Statements of Work
(SSOWs) and Requests for Information (RFIs)
- Evaluating technical proposals
- Relevant professional certification (e.g., PMP, PMIACP, - SAFe, PRINCE2, CSM, CSEP, OCSMP)
- Model-based engineering methodologies (e.g., OOSEM, RUP SE, Harmony-SE)
- Experience with the DOORS requirement management tool
- Formal leadership training and experience
- Ability to translate functional requirements into working design elements.
- Ability to define system and software architecture using a mix of COTS, vendor delivered, and LM developed hardware and software items.
- Experience with DirectX 11/12 graphics engines and distributed rendering

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
