Job Description SummaryThe Services Engineering Lean Leader will play a critical role in driving strategic continuous improvement in collaboration with the Services Engineering Leadership team. The Lean Leader will drive cultural transformation by developing targeted KPIs, leading Hoshin Kanri sessions, developing cross functional action plans, and influencing the development of strategic growth of our people.

Job Description

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute the Lean strategy within Services Engineering
  • Leads Hoshin Kanri sessions, with various levels of the organization, leads the teams in developing action plans in a cross-functional fashion, represents a key connection in the catch-ball process between different stakeholders.
  • Drives transformation and influences the development strategy for growth of our people and next leaders
  • Coach and develop team members at all levels of the organization to build lean skills and processes, with a focus not only on tools but most importantly on behaviors.
  • Serve as a leader, facilitator, educator for lean improvements related to those tools.
  • Uses high level of judgment to make decisions and handle complex tasks or problems in areas of operational, product management, manufacturing, technology, or engineering.
  • Provide overall leadership and administrative management for assigned personnel

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree accredited college or university from an accredited university or college (or high school diploma/GED with 10 years experience in engineering operations).
  • A minimum of 5 years experience leading in Manufacturing, Engineering, Sourcing, Supply Chain, Services, Digital, Commercial or P&L

Desired Characteristics and Experience

  • Degree in Engineering preferred.
  • Experience successfully driving change and transformation
  • Knowledge of and experience in applying lean in a variety of situations
  • Demonstrated lean expertise and impact; understands and can articulate lean as an operating system, tools, and culture
  • Strong management skills and demonstrated capability to influence
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills; strong business acumen
  • Ability to effectively lead in a matrixed and virtual team environment, particularly working through the extended lean teams to accomplish objective
  • Humble: respectful, receptive, agile, eager to learn​
  • Transparent: shares critical information, speaks with candor, contributes constructively​
  • Focused: quick learner, strategically prioritizes work, committed ​
  • Leadership ability: strong communicator, decision-maker, collaborative​
