Your Mission is Ours

Lockheed Martin Space is currently seeking a full time Hardware Engineer for our work location south of the Annapolis MD area. This is a continuous rotating shift Ground Systems Engineering Team position supporting operations and maintenance for a state-of-the-art RF Communication’s system operating in real time 24x7 environment. Primary responsibility will be to utilize cutting edge data analyzation software to provide customers with near real-time resolutions to anomalous conditions. Direct interaction with the customer and mission partners is required to provide technical assessment and operational work around recommendations. Daily activities may include, but are not limited to, incident report work off and resolution, O&M training/mentoring, trending, procedure development, data collection, fault isolation, and performing real-time manual actions to restore system capabilities. Analysis of spacecraft signals to assist in development of troubleshooting/recovery plans and execution of associated management and customer briefs may also be required. Work with enterprise partners for anomaly resolution across multiple sites with end to end tests. Participation in corrective maintenance may require remove/replace, repair, and testing failed hardware. Knowledge with various RF and Electrical test equipment, Power Meters, Spectrum Analyzers, Voltmeters, etc.., desired. Applicant selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information prior to starting.

Must be able to climb multiple sets of stars, lift/carry up to 50lbs, and work in non-environment-controlled work spaces.

Must be available to work 1st and 3rd shifts through a weekly rotation that includes two weekends a month to support 24x7 staffing requirements.

Must be a US Citizen; this position will require a government security clearance.  This position is located at a facility that requires special access.>

Basic Qualifications:
Bachelors degree majoring in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Communications Technologies, or another STEM field.

Must be a US Citizen; this position will require a government security clearance. This position is located at a facility that requires special access.
Desired Skills:
-Knowledge of RF communications antennas
-Knowledge of networks, IT systems, and real-time software applications supporting communications systems.
-Leadership experience on small teams
-Information Technology experience
-Proven working knowledge of varied test equipment such as oscilloscopes, spectrum/link/network analyzers, power meters and signal generation equipment.
-Knowledge and experience with facility support systems for RF terminal systems (power, HVAC, etc.)
-Prior electronics and/or satellite communications training/experience
-Strong oral and written communication skills

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
