What You Will Do:

The Site OEM Associate Director, Quality will be responsible for product quality across the entire OEM value stream for North Berwick Aero Systems. The Site OEM Associate Director, Quality will lead a team of approximately 200 hourly employees covering: bench inspection, Non-Desctructive Testing (NDT), Calibration, Layout, and Material Controls Laboratory (MCL).

  • Provide guidance and direction with regards to quality systems and requirements while working closely with Operations team to meet customer requirements

  • Implement business strategies in support of long-term growth

  • Provide leadership to solve value stream quality challenges to ensure success and customer satisfaction

  • Foster and maintain a cooperative relationship with key regulatory customers (FAA & DCMA)

  • Drive a culture of continuous improvement through the use of CORE (Customer Oriented Results and Excellence) tools, implementing change to support the Quality Transformation plan

  • Create a safe work environment by promoting a safety culture, driving EH&S improvements to reduce ergonomic and other injury risks on inspection processes

Qualifications You Must Have: 

  • A Bachelors degree and 12 or more years experience in an engineering, manufacturing, operations management, quality, supply chain or closely related industrial environment with a focus on quality management OR a Masters degree and 10 or more years experience in an engineering, manufacturing, operations management, quality, supply chain or closely related industrial environment with a focus on quality management

  • Experience leading, developing and mentoring a team in an environment with constantly fluctuating priorities

  • Experience using Microsoft Office, Solumina, SAP, or similar MRP/ERP systems

  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • Engineering degree (aerospace, mechanical, industrial, quality)

  • Understanding of Pratt & Whitneys Quality Procedures, Quality Management Systems, AS9100 and Regulatory Agency requirements as they apply to engine/modular assembly

  • Lean manufacturing experience and/or experience using CORE tools/Six Sigma training

  • Demonstrated ability to interface with all levels of management and external customers (DCMA, FAA)

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance workers, as they are essential to the development of our engines.

The salary range for this role is 147,000 USD - 295,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.
