Description:Develop a compatible strategic and tactical approach in concert with Manager’s strategic vision to enable long term success of the F-35 Vehicle Systems (VS) Software Development and Integration team in support of Software Sustainment and FOM initiatives.

Develop F-35 Flight Controls Redundancy Management (FCRM)/Initiated-Built-In Test (IBIT) Software Mechanization in support of future capability enhancements. Position and enable the team to meet technical challenges associated with support of the different aircraft and VMC hardware configurations for safety critical applications. Provide the capability with the assistance of team leadership to assume the F-35 Vehicle Systems Software Development and Integration Technical position when the opportunity arises.

Candidate responsibilities will span the system engineering, hardware integration, test, ground test and flight test lifecycles, to include requirements generation, system and software design and implementation, and integration and flight test. Designs, develops, documents, tests, and debugs software that contains logical and mathematical solutions to business/mission problems or questions in computer language for solutions by means of data processing equipment. Applies the appropriate standards, processes, procedures, and tools throughout the development life cycle. Applies knowledge of computer hardware and software, subject matter to be programmed in business/mission applications, information processing techniques used, and information gathered from system users to develop software. Corrects program errors, prepares operating instructions, compiles documentation of program development, and analyzes system capabilities to resolve questions of program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques, and controls. Ensures software standards are met.

Basic Qualifications:
• Experienced in the area of flight critical systems requirements, software design and architecture
• Capable of providing technical assistance when working with software design and development teams
• Knowledge of software processes (PM 4001) and methodologies (Agile) and possesses experience in producing associated software artifacts
• Must be capable of performing hardware/software integration tasks in a target hardware environment
• Bachelors degree or above in a STEM discipline from an accredited college/university

Must be a US citizen. This position requires special access and an interim Secret clearance to start.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
