Software Engineer - Junior Level

 Why This is an Exciting Role:

As a Software Engineer Level 1 at Boeing Intelligence & Analytics you will be responsible for supporting the GHOSTATOM Team, some of your duties will include:

  • Work side-by-side with a team of developers supporting and enhancing a suite of complex web applications and services that provide content management and collaboration in support of critical missions.
  • Analyze and manage requirements and external dependencies, update product roadmap, and supervise development in a Kanban-based process.
  • Improve software and system architecture for improved efficiency and reliability.
  • Provide after hours, on-call Tier III support as needed, in coordination with organizations providing Tier I and Tier II support.
  • Document and update data models, schemas, APIs, and other technical specifications as needed.
  • Provide subject matter expertise to address technical questions from users. Administer, maintain, and implement policies and procedures for ensuring the security and integrity of the database(s).

 Experience and Qualifications:

To be eligible for this demanding position, the ideal candidate should demonstrate the following experience and qualifications:  

Required Education and Years of Experience: 

Three (3) years of experience in software and firmware design, development, and test to include writing clear, concise, functioning and fully commented code, and a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field of expertise (e.g., Engineering, Physical Science, Computer Science, or Systems Engineering) from an accredited college or university.

A Master’s degree in a relevant field of expertise may be substituted for two (2) years of experience.

Four (4) years of additional experience in software and firmware design, development, and test may be substituted for a Bachelor’s Degree.

Required Qualifications: ​

Clearance Requirement:  TS/SCI with Full Scope Poly

Low-level development experience – e.g. interrupt handlers, device drivers, controlling peripherals, reading/writing Flash memory, etc.

Extensive experience with C, Python

Networking experience

Desired Qualifications: ​

- Develop software drivers

- Develop software applications

- Process digital signals

- Develop Client/server applications

- Analyze and implement Legacy and current processor technology

- Analyze and implement Operating systems, architectures, and interfaces

- Develop code using Assembly and high-level programming languages

Summary Pay Range:

Please note that the information shown below is a general guideline only. Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

$96,300-$117,700
