Software Engineering Summer Intern – Test Platform

Panasonic Avionics Corporation is seeking motivated Software Engineering Interns to join our growing Software Engineering team in our Irvine, CA office. This paid internship will start in May/June and continue through August/September 2024 with an opportunity to potentially continue through the school year.
How you will spend your summer:
- Intern candidates will participate in development of production SW as well as DevOps and Automation software development in various part of Panasonic Avionics Software Engineering department contributing to the solutions that elevate passenger engagement.
- Interns will have an opportunity to experience and complete multiple projects during the course of the internship in a rotational capacity, gaining invaluable practical experience in diverse areas of SWE in different layers of the stack and related technologies
- Potential projects include: portal UI automation, GUI automation, API development, Container/VM development, Payment Development, Test portal development, iOS and Android SDK development, Android interactive development, Software Field Support development, Networking CI/CD, LiveTV development, AWS application development, Bluetooth development.
What you bring to the internship:
- Current student pursuing a bachelor’s degree who will be a Junior or Senior in Fall 2024
- Preferably Juniors, Seniors, or Graduate students pursuing Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) degree
- Ability to work cooperatively with others, take verbal as well as written instructions and communicate instructions as needed.
- Ability to communicate clearly, both written and verbally to all levels of the organization as well as external customers.
- Generally applies existing practices and procedures in analyzing situations or data.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks.
The hourly wage range for this position is $25- $36. The final offer amount may vary and is based on the candidates year in school. The minimum hourly wage for this role will be the greater of the posted range, or minimum wage for the location where the employee will be working, subject to local minimum wage requirements.
