About the Role:Are you ready to help shape the future of aerospace technology? PDS Tech Commercial is seeking a Software Engineer to join the Aerospace Avionics Test Engineering team. In this dynamic role, youll collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop complex engineering solutions that support cutting-edge avionics systems for global customers, including the armed services and airlines worldwide.
As a Software Engineer, you’ll have the opportunity to work with both hardware and software, creating test solutions for some of the most advanced aerospace products in the industry. Your work will directly impact the success of Aerospaces $5B Avionics strategic business unit and ensure the continued excellence of our avionics systems.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:Develop & Troubleshoot: Design, develop, and troubleshoot hardware and software solutions for manufacturing and service test solutions.
Collaborate: Work closely with engineers from other disciplines (mechanical, systems engineering) to ensure comprehensive product designs.
Test Automation: Support automated test software development and verify test procedures to optimize operations.
Reverse Engineering: Document and reverse engineer existing equipment to enhance functionality and performance.
Project Management: Present technical status updates to peers, internal management, and external customers.
Leadership: Delegate tasks to support technicians, engineering project assistants, and peers while managing your own projects.
Qualifications:Required:
Bachelors degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math) discipline.
This position requires use of information or access to facilities subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). These regulations may limit access of controlled technologies: 1) to U.S. Persons, including U.S. Citizens, lawful permanent residents, and other narrow categories including refugees and asylees, or 2) to certain foreign nationals that have received an export license.
Desired Skills:
Software Development: Experience with LabView or C is a plus.
Electronics Expertise: Ability to read electronic schematics and work on RF (Radio Frequency) devices.
Collaboration & Communication: Strong team collaboration, documentation, and communication skills.
Aerospace Experience: Familiarity with avionics products and troubleshooting techniques.

Pay Details: $81.23 per hour
