Software Test Engineering Summer Intern Panasonic Avionics Corporation – Irvine, CA Panasonic Avionics Corporation is seeking motivated Software Test Engineering Interns to join our growing Software Engineering team in our Irvine, CA office.  This paid internship will start in June and continue through August 2024 with an opportunity to potentially continue through the school year. Intern will do system testing on customer racks in the lab which involves Software and Hardware integration and troubleshooting. Through this process, the intern will be exposed to the multiple tools and testing methodologies we use in our daily operations.Who we are:  For 40 years, Panasonic Avionics has strengthened the connection between the world’s airlines and their passengers. Every year, more than 2.7 billion passengers enjoy an amazing entertainment experience flying onboard Panasonic-equipped aircraft. The hourly wage range for this position is $25-$36.  The final offer amount may vary and is based on the candidates year in school. The minimum hourly wage for this role will be the greater of the posted range, or minimum wage for the location where the employee will be working, subject to local minimum wage requirements. Student will gain: 
  •  In depth investigation of software issues with hands-on lab experience.
  • System software and hardware knowledge of our In-Flight Entertainment and/or Global Communication systems.
  • Utilize skill sets acquired from their education and apply in a professional environment. 
  •  Teamwork and collaboration.
  • Critical thinking. 
  • Overall project life cycle.

Key Qualifications: 

  • Students pursuing Bachelors in the fields of Computer Science/Engineering, Electronics, Electrical with subjects involving Networking, Linux/Unix, Embedded Systems, and Database Management System
  • Preferred candidate must have good communication and social skills.
  • Willing to learn and adapt quickly to this changing environment in learning our unique system.
