L3Harris Technologies is seeking a Specialist, Quality Data Analyst (Engineer)to support the Aerojet Rocketdyne Segment; this role will work at either our existing state-of-the-art Advanced Manufacturing Facility (AMF) in Toney, AL, and/or our new, AMF in Huntsville, AL, which will be our inert manufacturing facility for fabrication and assembly of composite rocket motor hardware. In this role you will harness advanced data mining and analytical techniques within a multi-system environment to provide thorough reporting and dynamic/interactive platforms for viewing and analysis. Your specialized skills will be essential in extracting, analyzing, and presenting quality data that drives strategic decision-making and continuous improvement.
Essential Functions:

Utilize advanced data mining tools to import, clean, explore, unionize quality data from multiple systems, ensuring comprehensive analysis.
Analyze large datasets to identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities for quality enhancement.
Develop, troubleshoot and maintain sophisticated reporting mechanisms, including interactive dashboards that provide real-time insights into quality metrics.
Collaborate with IT and other departments to ensure accurate data collection, integration, and retrieval across various platforms.
Implement best practices in data visualization to make complex data more accessible and understandable.
Train and support end-users in effectively utilizing reporting tools and dashboards to drive quality-related decisions.
Continuously improve data analysis and reporting processes to keep pace with evolving business needs and technological advancements.
Ensure data integrity, validation, and compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements in all reporting outputs.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree with 4 years of prior related data analysis experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related data analysis experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior related data analysis experience.
Requires 1 year of statistical or quality coursework or relevant experience including SPC, Six Sigma, Lean manufacturing, statistics, manufacturing concepts.
Requires proficiency in Microsoft Excel 365.
Preferred Addtional Skills:
Aerospace and defense quality experience.
Expertise in programming languages like SQL, and Python for complex data manipulation, statistical analysis and automation.
Proficient in data visualization and reporting tools such as Tableau or Power BI to create insightful dashboards.
Skilled in managing large datasets, with a strong grasp of database and data warehousing concepts.
Adept at applying machine learning algorithms and data mining techniques to extract meaningful patterns.
Excellent communication skills for articulating data-driven insights to technical and non-technical audiences.
Proficient with advanced analytics tools and software, including Minitab, SAS or MATLAB, for sophisticated data modeling and analysis.
