Radio Frequency and Signal Processing Engineer

Contract Position

$65.41-$70.41/Hour

This leader in global defense integrates advanced technology to deliver information and insights on the battlefield, offering roles that support security and technological superiority across multiple domains.

Responsibilities:

• Design and develop analog and digital electronic circuits, including signal conditioning, power systems, ADCs, transformers, inductors, amplifiers, and communication components.
• Integrate, test, troubleshoot, and verify electrical hardware for military and underwater applications.
• Conduct trade studies on components and system architectures to determine optimal solutions.
• Develop test criteria and assist in designing test systems, including software applications.
• Design, analyze, and test underwater acoustic systems.
• Prototype and rework cable assemblies and circuit card assemblies.
• Prepare technical documentation and present recommendations to program management and Navy customers.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related STEM field, plus 8+ years of relevant experience; or a Master’s degree with 6+ years of experience.
• Technical Expertise: Proficiency in analog and digital circuit design, including signal integrity principles.
• Power Electronics: Strong understanding of transformers, inductors, op-amps, and transistors (Bipolar, JFETs, MOSFETs), including key parameters such as flux density, magnetizing current, and thermal analysis.
• Communication Interfaces: Experience with Ethernet, RS-485, USB, CAN bus, LVDS, and protocols such as TCP and UDP.
• PCB Design: Hands-on experience with schematic entry (OrCAD Capture preferred), SPICE analysis, power analysis, component selection, and working with PCB layout teams.
• Underwater Acoustics: Familiarity with underwater acoustic principles.
• Additional Experience (Preferred): Battery systems, electric motors, and MATLAB programming.
