Sr. Adv Mech Design Engineer
Position Description:
Sr. Advanced Mech Design Engr is responsible to work with multiple Honeywell products team, understand the product design needs, identify the simulation scope and load cases, perform simulation structural, thermal, vibration of various Honeywell products in phases design, development or testing and enable faster product design delivery.
Roles & Responsibilities
• Identify opportunities for simulation in product development focused on Mechanical Components wrt Design Standards/Regulatory Standards
• Execute simulations such as Structure/Vibration/Explicit analysis/Fatigue/Durability Analysis on standard tools
• Streamline Mechanical Simulation process and identify opportunities for improvements.
• Provide Design suggestions to improvise product design
Must Have:
• M.Tech./ B.Tech. in Mechanical Engineering
• 10+ Experience in Mechanical Simulation Analysis
• Good understanding of the physics and principles of structural mechanics
• Knowledge of mesh requirement for high fidelity Structure/Vibration/Explicit analysis.
• Experience in simulation tools like ANSYS Suit of tools, LS Dyna/ NASTRAN or equivalent tools for structure/heat transfer analysis.
• Meshing using HyperMesh
• Understanding of optimization techniques and relevant tools like Optistruct/HEEDS, exposure to ICEpack and reliability calculations are added advantage.
• Post-process simulation results, prepare detailed analysis reports including recommendation on design and analysis methods as applicable.
• Experience in working with customers independently, ability to build customer relationships, become product knowledgeable.
• Communicate effectively with functional leads/team members and other stakeholders to arrive common goals.
• Deliver simulation commitments with high quality and limited supervision.
• Capable to drive Initiatives and deliver the outcomes.
YOU MUST HAVE- Bachelors degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as the sciences, technology, engineering or mathematics
