As a part of the Enterprise Technology (eTech) Advanced Communications team, we are looking for a motivated, early to mid-career Communications Systems Engineer to join our high-profile Internal Research and Development (IRAD) and Contracted Research and Development (CRAD) teams focused on integrating various commercial communications capabilities and enhancing them to address unique military requirements through our Advanced Communications systems. We have efforts that span network engineering, telecommunications (5G/NextG), application development, security and resilience, DevSecOps, and RF engineering, with our teams focus being to leverage all of these disciplines to improve our defense products. The ideal candidate will have experience in wireless communication systems, network engineering, as well as experience integrating and testing SW/HW solutions. The role will involve working across various 5G research and development efforts, and may include working with industry partners to integrate the latest 5G equipment, and helping integrate software mission applications for 5G pursuits. In addition to strong network engineering experience, we are looking for someone with the ability to work through dependencies, tackles critical issues quickly, and is willing to jump in wherever the team needs it, regardless if it may not be your “typical” responsibilities. Being a team player who is willing to learn new things to help meet important milestones, with a problem solving mindset, is key. Basic Qualifications:
• Experience working with communications systems
• Experience with network engineering
• Experience working with Linux systems
• Experience with systems integration and test
• Experience developing and executing test plans or procedures
Desired Skills:
• Experience working with Radio Frequency (RF) / Wireless systems

• Background in systems engineering

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
