Job Description:

JOB TITLE: Senior System Engineer

LOCATION: 2702 Love Field Dr. Dallas, TX 75235, and Hybrid role, may work from home

DUTIES: Lead for configuration management of WebLogic middleware and Jasper reporting technology Instances to provide 99.9 availability in lower test environments and production; responsible for development and maintenance of CI/CD (continuous integration/continuous delivery pipelines); lead for Cyber Security standards for TechOps (Southwest Airlines Technical Operations) technology platforms. This can include tasks such as development and maintenance of server host certificates for all WebLogic middleware and Jasper reporting servers in all environments (test and production)to ensure compliance with Southwest cyber security policies; provide automated testing capabilities and static code analysis for CI/CD pipeline automation; expert for technical design when migrating on premises infrastructure to AWS cloud; deploy and configure management regardless of whether the infrastructure is in a Southwest Airlines datacenter or the AWS cloud; mentor new team members and proactively monitor their progress against the teams strict onboarding procedures; and responsible for creating deployment strategies to support High Availability and Resilient applications.

REQUIREMENTS: Bachelors or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field, followed 5 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or as a Software Developer, Software Engineer, or in a related/similar position. Experience therein to include 5 years utilizing:

• Unix/Linux system

• Shell (bash etc.), python, ruby, and jython

• Oracle 12c and 19c;

• SQL statements;

• AppDynamics, Grafana, and Prometheus; and

• Chef, Ansible, Jenkins, CodeDeploy, GitHub, Bitbucket, GitLab, WebLogic, Tomcat and Jasper.

Hybrid role, may work from home.
