Application/System Sales Engineers are responsible for supporting sales by providing technical expertise, customer support, application support, and act as a conduit between the customer and engineering to troubleshoot and develop solutions. This role requires solid communication skills, technical presentations, and trainings, as well as articulating technical value propositions for complex solutions to a variety of stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
• Understand and articulate value propositions of the Alerton solutions and offerings, including identifying key outcomes
• Facilitate NPI/Offering introduction with launch customers and sales teams to build engagement and sales
• Conduct technical presentations, trainings, and host user group meetings
• Build rapport in demos and customer-facing meetings by demonstrating technical understanding and articulating product/solution value propositions
• Support sales reps on application and design related activities for highly complex or customized solution offerings
• Progress technical expertise by leading and attending internal training sessions
• Develop internal relationships throughout product development and act as the voice of the customer to drive the solutions our customers want and need
You Must Have
• High School Diploma / GED or equivalent
• HVAC Controls experience of at least 7 years
• Previous experience in Application Engineering
• Experience in standard productivity software suites (Google, Microsoft Office, Salesforce, etc.).
