As a Staff Systems Engineer at GE Aerospace, youll play a crucial role in leading our teams efforts in systems integration, verification, and delivery for Electrical Power Distribution systems. Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and inspire a diverse team of engineers in executing a highly demanding project, emphasizing GEs leadership behaviors such as prioritizing customer focus, fostering innovation, and driving accountability.
  • Oversee systems integration efforts for Electrical Power Distribution products, ensuring seamless integration into aircraft systems while adhering to safety and certification standards.
  • Develop and execute comprehensive systems verification plans, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to ensure successful verification campaigns.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for customers, representing GE in customer interactions, meetings, and reviews related to systems integration and certification activities.
  • Mentor and coach junior engineers, nurturing their growth and development within a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Utilize Lean principles and Agile methodologies to streamline processes, remove waste, and drive efficiency throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related field. Masters degree preferred.
  • Over 8 years of experience in systems engineering, with a proven track record of leadership and project management in the aerospace industry.
  • Strong leadership qualities with a demonstrated ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve excellence.
  • Excellent customer-facing skills with a focus on understanding and addressing customer needs effectively.
  • Proficiency in systems engineering tools such as DOORS, SysML, and simulation software.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
