JOB TITLE: Stress Analysis Engineer

PAY RATE: $67-77/hour

Contract Length: 12 months (with potential extension)

Summary:
Specialize in the analysis, certification, and testing of metallic and composite primary structures.
Act as a subject matter expert for metallic primary structures.
Lead and mentor contract and associate stress engineers.
Prepare certification stress reports and collaborate with FAA DERs.
Conduct structural testing and apply both classic hand analysis (Bruhn, Peery, Roark, ESDU) and FEA methods.
Present analysis and assumptions clearly and logically.
Manage assigned projects from start to completion, providing updates to management.
Requirements:
MUST BE US PERSONS
BS in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering (MS preferred).
FAA DER (14 CFR 23/25) is a plus but not required.
Proficiency in 3D modeling (CATIA v5, Unigraphics).
Knowledge of programming languages (Python, VB, Matlab).
Expertise in Finite Element Analysis (NASTRAN, ABAQUS).
Strong computer skills (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project).
Physical Requirements:
Ability to work in environments with noise, heat, cold, dust, and fuel odors.
Capable of standing, sitting, squatting, bending, climbing, and reaching for extended periods.
Lift/move up to 10 lbs independently and up to 50 lbs with assistance.
Adhere to safety regulations (FAA, OSHA, DOT, EPA, etc.).
Strong verbal and written communication in Business English.
