StandardAero is seeking motivated, eager, and innovative students looking to join one of our Engineering Teams for the 2025 summer term.
As an intern at StandardAero, you will gain hands-on industry experience, learn from experts, and collaborate with our teams that raise the standard of excellence.
Over the course of your 10-12 week internship, you will have the opportunity to:
- Partner with existing production engineering teams to support the Maintenance Repair and Overhaul (MRO) operations in Dallas, TX
- Students will work with experience engineers on project types that include Repair Industrialization, Tools and Fixture Design and Manufacture, and Process Improvement

Job Duties:
Students will be involved in organizing, updating and compliance activities with the DFW Repair Center tooling which will include the following:
- Updating tooling Inventory with each of our product lines: Tay/Spey, PW300, PW500, TFE731, CFM56.
- Upload product line tooling documents into “Master Control” database.
- Update tooling identification to reflect appropriate product identification standards.
- Create tool drawings as required.
- Create tooling equivalency documents for locally designed tooling.
- Update tooling calibration requirements.
- Update tooling locations into “Master Control” database.
- Other projects as assigned.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skill/Experience):
- Completed engineering courses at the Sophomore level
- Knowledge of MS Office products, to include Excel, Project, and Word
- Excellent communication skills
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
- Drawing skills – Autocad, Auto desk, Solidworks, etc.
- A strong desire to learn and be a contributing member of a team
- Strong self-motivation and organization skills

Job Duties:
Students will be involved in developing, implementing repairs with the DFW Engine Repair Center which will include the following:
Basic Qualifications (Required Skill/Experience):
- Develop and implement repairs for engine components in accordance with approved technical data.
- Collaborates with cross-functional teams consisting of technicians, engineers, customer service representatives, and specialists to complete initiatives on-time.
- Coordinates process improvement initiates using lean methodologies.
- Works with configuration control specialists to support creation and modification of routings for repairs.
- Reviews Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) technical documents and other engineering data to understand requirements and procures and/or develops equipment to enable repair capability and capabilities.
- Creates new engineering data and instructions for processes as required.
- Observes all applicable safety requirements and reporting immediately any unsafe practices/conditions.
- Carries out special projects as assigned.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skill/Experience):
- Completed engineering courses at the Sophomore level.
- Knowledge of MS Office products, to include Excel, Project, and Word.
- Proficiency in CAD and drafting such as but not limited to Inventor, Fusion360, other AutoDesk Products, or SolidWorks.
- Excellent communication skills.
- US Citizen.
