Description:What You Will Be Doing

This position is in support of Advanced Development Programs (ADP) located in Marietta, Georgia. The chosen candidate will be part of the Support Equipment Integrated Products Team (IPT) that is responsible for identifying, developing, integrating, and delivering world class ground support equipment that our customers require to operate and sustain their weapon system during its entire lifecycle.
Responsible for sustainment program support to include integration, comprehensive logistics, sustainment plan creation and support requirements for the lifecycle of the product. Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints. May serve as the point of contact for logistics with the customer and provide advice or training on system design and specifications. Functions as the internal design interface between support system, concepts and specifications. Performs analysis of the sustainment system product to include: concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal. Other analysis may include interface studies, timeline and requirements allocation, effectiveness, verification, cost/risk, and supportability.

Basic Qualifications:
Bachelors degree or combination of education and work experience
Prior frontend design and integration experience
Strong understanding of mechanical design, materials/parts selection, and/or design for Manufacturability principles
Proven capabilities creating 3D design models and/or detailed drawings using 3DX or CATIA
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and ability to build consensus among peers while building solid relationships with integrated product team members
Must be a US Citizen with an ability to obtain secret security clearance.
Must be experienced in Design Engineering
Desired Skills:
Experience with 3DX, Cameo, Jira, and Confluence digital thread tools
Knowledge of commercial, military, and federal standards/regulations including OSHA, AWS, ANSI, ASME, and SAE.
Experience with product design/manufacturing processes including machining, welding, heat treatment, surface treatment and assembly
Understanding of aircraft systems maintenance with knowledge of Support and Test equipment
Active Secret security clearance with update within last 5 years
Experience with 3DX, Cameo, Jira, and Confluence digital thread tools
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.
Clearance Level: Secret with Investigation or CV date within 5 years

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
