Description:We seek highly motivated personnel with wide-ranging demonstrated foundational engineering skills in EE, ME, software, and analysis, with a focus on data analysis and processing, computer modeling and simulation, and instrumentation design.

Candidate will also take a lead role in gravity sensor signal processing and pursuits to grow the business. This position will be shaped into a key role within the business unit, by-in-large responsible for troubleshooting data that occasionally comes to us from fielded systems.

Duties include:
Gravity Gradiometer signal processing to include Post Mission Compensation (PMC) in the PV-WAVE processing environment.
Estimation and (Kalman) filtering theory, data fusion
Inertial navigation and sensors, gimbaled platforms
Familiarity with electronics components and navigation systems, GPS
Computer modeling and simulation (Matlab®)
Strong signal processing acumen and engineering analysis
Data regression, model fitting and verification
Control systems, linear algebra
Basic Qualifications:
- 7+ years of experience processing Gravity Gradiometer data collected from in-house and fielded Gravity Gradiometer Systems.
- Hands on experience performing Post Mission Compensation (PMC) methods on raw Gravity Gradiometer data to create compensated gradients for subsequent geophysical processing. - Extensive experience using PV-WAVE computing environment for signal processing.
- Strong background in signal processing is required, with demonstrated experience in general engineering analyses involving multiple physics and the Matlab® computing environment.
- Knowledge of force rebalance accelerometers and gravity measuring equipment.
Desired Skills:
- Demonstrated experience in estimation and (Kalman) filtering theory, data fusion, inertial navigation and sensors analysis, gimbaled platforms, electronics components and navigation systems, GPS.
- Experience with analyses in time and frequency domain, error budgeting, feasibility.
- MS in mechanical or electrical engineering.
- Able to work as part of a team, stay focused on tasks and see through to completion, well-organized individual.
- Experience through the full engineering process and product life cycle a plus.
- Comfortable interfacing to customers and colleagues, basic presentation skills.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
Pay Rate:
The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, or Washington is $100,400 - $192,500 . Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidates work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.

This position is incentive plan eligible.
Pay Rate:
The annual base salary range for this position in most major metropolitan areas in California and New York is $115,500 - $217,500. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only.
