Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for a Technical Operations Senior Engineering Manager 3 to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. The position is located in Melbourne, FL. This position is fully onsite with no remote work available.
The Product Support Technical Operations Engineering Manager works with the Product Support (PS) Engineering, Integration, and Execution (EI&E) Director in developing the strategy for managing the technical baseline of a weapon system, driving integration between the PS disciplines, and leading all aspects of the PS estimating and resource planning initiatives to meet current and future program execution needs. This position reports directly to the PS EI&E Director.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drives Agile processes within Product Support EI&E functions
- Responsible for development and management of the PS Operations and Sustainment Engineering dashboard
- Maintains digital presence aligning to the program’s Digital Transformation strategy (i.e. Confluence and Jira)
- Executes pivotal Product Support initiatives with functional and program counterparts focused on Product Support related requirements
- Facilitates EI&E functions on coordinating resource management and status to the PS EI&E Director, including analysis of program staffing, growth, and skills projections for Program Execution
- Maintains tracking of supportability design influence and reliability growth initiatives
- Coordinates risks and opportunities with the EI&E functions
- Ensures consistency with all PS EI&E functions in Earned Value Management (EVM) reporting
- Facilitates all PS related meetings and Technical Interchange Meetings (TIMs)
- Enables sustainment design influence in reliability, availability, maintainability, and training
- Maintains Model Based System Engineering (MBSE) alignment with the Program
- Ensures data integrity, accessibility, and continuity between PS and the design lifecycle

Basic Qualifications:
- Must have a Bachelor’s degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) field AND 9 years of related professional/military experience to include a background in organizational leadership, program management, engineering management, capture efforts, and/or business management related functions, OR a Master’s degree AND 7 years of related professional/military experience to include a background in organizational leadership, program management, engineering management, capture efforts, and/or business management related functions.
- Experience with Risk and Opportunity Management and EVMS.
- Experience in developing and managing processes across large organizations.
- Experience managing a staff of 5 or more.
- Your ability to transfer and maintain the final adjudicated government Secret clearance, and any program access(es) required for the position within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in a STEM field (Mechanical, Electrical or Manufacturing).
- Active DoD Top Secret Clearance.
- Current Special Program Access (PAR/SAP).
- In-depth knowledge of the Product Support organization and its operation.
- In-depth knowledge MBSE or Model Based Sustainment
- Experience with Atlassian tool suite (Jira and Confluence) or similar suite
- Experience with Digital Transformation initiatives.
- Excellent organizational, verbal, and written communication skills, as well as project management, analytical, planning and presentation skills.
Salary Range: $146,800 - $220,200
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidates experience, education, skills and current spanet conditions.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
