Role and Responsibilities

We are currently looking for a candidate who is passionate about engineering and possesses either piloting experience or a particularly good knowledge of aircraft systems. As a Test Expert in Defense and Security (D&S), you will be working alongside Military Training Experts and engineering teams on various types of projects, including but not limited to, fixed wing, rotary wing, rear crew, remote piloted aircraft, and naval simulators.

The role we are offering you:

Carry out verification and validation for synthetic training devices:

  • Prepare project engineering test plans for Verification and Validation (V&V) activities.
  • Carry out engineering testing assignments requiring a general understanding of aviation and simulation techniques internally and during customer acceptances.
  • Report test results and provide recommendations to project team.
  • Take part in requirement and design reviews, make sure V&V best practices are applied on your project and identify risks.
  • Identify and actively participate in the resolution of issues as early as possible during project execution.
  • Prepare qualification file with engineering team to demonstrate simulator compliancy to regulation and represent CAE in front of qualification authorities to ensure successful qualification.
  • Monitor V&V budget and schedule and report risks to project team.
  • Undertake independent analysis and provide recommendations to improve the software and hardware development processes.
  • Maximize use of computer tools to perform engineering testing.

Our ideal candidate has:

  • Bacheloru2019s degree in Engineering.
  • At least three years of relevant experience (knowledge of aircraft systems, pilot license, etc).
  • Knowledge of internal procedures (software, manufacturing, etc.), an asset.
  • Availability to travel to various locations for on-site work.
  • Excellent communicator / bilingual French and English
